The Carriage House Interior.

The Carriage House is accessed via a barn style front door with a single 100 mm step. There is a grab rail adjacent to the door.
The effective opening width of the door is 800mm, this in turn gives access to the interior of the house, which is all on one level. The Carriage House interior consists of a living/dining room, kitchen and two en suite bedrooms.  (The layout is available on the website.)
The living room and kitchen are both open planned areas with a very high degree of colour and tone contrast, a good degree of light both natural and domestic, and a reasonable amount of circulation space, the kitchen has all amenities and provisions including easy grip utensils.
Both bedrooms, king and twin, give a high degree of provision. Both have the provision of en-suite facilities with corner baths overhead electric showers and WC, both bathrooms have a generous amount of circulation space, good light and good colour and tone contrast. Both baths have a grab rail to assist entering and exiting the bath whilst standing.

Disabled access summary taken from the Disability North Direct Audit September 2006.

The premises whilst having adequate facilities may not be accessible to some disabled people due to the bath/shower arrangement and narrow corridor.  However to most ambulant disabled people the property and facilities will be accessible.
